Her early years in a school like Rishi Valley (KFI), had a huge impact on her towards leading a conscious life.

The Nihaara Collection by Sweta S Fine Jewelry is a sustainable brand that focuses on designing bespoke pieces from raw precious gemstones. The concept of Nihaara i.e. the collection of gold dust from carpets of artisans crafting fine gold ornaments, inspired utilisation of gemstones in their natural state. Our range of earrings, neckpieces, rings, bracelets, and cufflinks are untouched by harmful processing Our long-term vision includes bringing in women artisans into this male dominated industry in India. We believe one empowered woman empowers her entire family.

 

What does the word ‘Nihaara’ mean? 

Gold dust is created by artisans during the process of creating a piece. This dust then settles into the carpets and at the end of the month, much like rag pickers, ’gold pickers' come and take these carpets away. It is then laboriously extracted from the carpets. This is known as Nihaara. Even though it is a gold waste, it has value since it is gold. Moreover, this gold is then further recycled.
